Welcome back, viewers. I am sure that you all noticed from the cartoon above that the person speaking is none other than the famous fantasy character, Harry Potter. There are currently more than 103 million copies of the books in just America (as cited from the website of Scholastic).

As I have mentioned yesterday, one of the fairly new but dark themes that are introduced in the media today is sorcery, or better known as Magic. Thanks to Harry Potter, magic now has a much greater interest from the population. Now, I am not trying to denounce J.K. Rowling about her writing ideas. Her books allow children to explore a whole new different world with their imagination while reading, instead of playing video games. However, she has undoubtedly chose a topic which has dangers and consequences that she is clearly ignorant about.

Magic is an "art" that manipulates unnatural powers that humans should not ever be meddling with. Every bit of it is a work of the Devil. Now, friends, you are probably thinking in your head: "What about WHITE magic, dumbass? Black Magic is evil but what about magic that heals? Explain that!" Well, I have a question for you: Would God work against Hiself? He lets everything happen for a reason, even disease and pain. They are there to test our faith in Him. They are neccessary trials that must be undertaken so that we can grow and truly understand His glorious plans. Only Satan and his devils will meddle in His plans. Now, aren't these white magicians meddling with God's will when they are promising relief from sufferings and difficulties, tests that are most certainly placed by God? Therefore, we can associate all forms of magic with Satan.

This issue wouldn't have been such a big problem if only the media hadn't started to expand the idea that magic is good and if everyone knew "white" magic, the world will be so much a better place. Thanks to J.K. Rowling and various other authors, the younger generations are seeing magic in a good, but false, light. Children are eager to learn. Nowadays, their eagerness can be filled by wondering and researching topics that are presented on the internet, books, and television. They are still young and can not comprehend the evils and dangers that may lie under that golden suface. I am not saying to abolish television, books, and the internet. What i'm saying is that the older generations should always help the newer ones evaluate of what is dangerous and evil and what is not.
